









Historic Mill House. This is an ancient 500 year old watermill. The mill was designed for contemporary living and has been renovated to the highest standards using quality natural materials. The building has solid two foot thick walls and a traditionally woven cane and beam ceilings.
Currently this is the only property on our portfolio that has achieved an A rating for emissions!
Antique windows and stable style doors were reformed, slate and original ceramic tiles were cleaned and relayed, cobble stones layed for the drive and sandstone slabs used for the doorsteps.
The heating and cooling systems are natural. It has two wood burners, walls built using refractory bricks, and ducting. The mills air cooling system is based on the cool air created by the water that flows under part of the building and the cave inside the lower room of the mill. A stream running under a bathroom, which can be seen through grills, embedded in the floor helps cool the house in the summer. The property is solar powered with a back up generator with solar hot water collector and gas boiler as a back up in the winter.
Through the renovation of the building the area was planted with many indigenous trees and shrubs including olive, grape vines, pomegranate, orange, lemon, nispero plum, carob, almond, fig, rosemarypipes, tomato, thyme, lavender, fennel, capers, prickly pear.
This gem is in the heart of one of Europes finest coastal areas, completely untouched and only 10 minutes drive from the six beaches of Carboneras.
The property currently is a large house with three bathrooms, two fitted kitchens and a separate building, which with minor work could easily be converted either into a third kitchen or an ensuite bedroom.
