The house is centrally situated 2 minute walk to shops, pubs, banks and all you need for day to day living. The house is over four floors as follows: Ground floor is a family room - 1 double and 2 single beds 1st floor - lounge/dining area, kitchen and bathroom 2nd floor - 1 double and one single bedroom Top floor - sitting room with access to outside terrace with views over the village. Montefrio is a pretty typically Spanish town and in addition to the Church of la Villa, Montefrio whose historic centre has been declared a Site of Historic Interest, has other important religious building such as the Barouque Church of the Convent of San Antonio, the Parish Church of la Encarnacion - which has a distinctive circular ground plan and is inspired by Romes Agrippa Hadrian, Pantheon - and the Church of San Sebastion. In the surroundings of Montefrio stands the Pena de los Gitanos, of archaeological interest containing approximately a hundred dolmens and several necropolises. These remains prove that there have been primitive human settlements in the area since the Neolithic jperiod and Copper Age, to the Iberian and Roman eras, and more recently the Visigoths and the Muslin period. However this beautiful village is still best known for its historic role as part of the border between the Kingdoms of Granada and Castilla. Evidence of this is the Arab Castle which is perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the village and is currently occupied by the church of la Villa. The Church houses the El Centinela Centre for the Interpretation of the Last Frontier of Al-Andalus.
