This fabulous 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment is located in the most sought after resort development in Sabinillas. A real striking feature of La Noria are the beautiful and expansive tropical gardens and water features. La Noria has direct access to Sabinillas Promenade and its Blue Flag beach. Internally this 4th floor apartment is presented to an excellent standard spacious kitchen, open plan living room and 2 good sized bedrooms. The property is fully furnished and has air conditioning throughout. The terrace boasts sea and coastal views which are stunning by day and create a wonderful ambience by night. This apartment is a wonderful choice for those looking for a high quality apartment which is within walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants. As you exit the complex to the promenade, you will find yourself at the end of the prom, if you take a stroll right you will find many bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance. If you prefer the beach to the pool then a few restaurants have loungers on the beach and will serve your food and drink. So no need to take the car out to have a lovely evening meal. Sabinillas is traditionally a fishing village, you can still see the fisherman bringing in the catch early on a morning. A good sign is the swarm of seagulls overhead! Along the promenade you will find a few really good Spanish restaurants and their specialities are always good fish dishes. There are a number of supermarkets in Sabinillas. If you are holidaying with a family then worthy of note is the park, expect to find Spanish families out until after 10pm even with young children in the summer months, they siesta during the hottest part of the day (normally 3 - 4pm) so enjoy themselves when it is is cooler in the early evening. Sabinillas has grown over the years but stills keeps its traditional Spanish roots and you will find that the Spanish know how to celebrate on special fiestas. Watch out for San Juan in June when the fires are burning all along the beaches and everyone runs into the sea at midnight! A great festival! Also to watch out for are local fairs. If you are into markets then every Friday there is one outside the complex on the promenade and every Sunday there is a large one only a 15 minute walk away.A very charming aspects of Manilva is that, despite its prime location on the coast, without anonymous sky-scraper construction. Therefore, although tourists are just starting to discover the village (with good reason), it remains intrinsically Spanish. The majority of residents live in the commercial centre which covers just two square kilometers. Within the municipality of Manilva there are several communities. The white village of Manilva is located a few kilometers inland from the little fishing village on the coast known as San Luis de Sabinillas or just Sabinillas for short. To the west of Sabinillas there is a quiet yachting marina called Puerto Duquesa with its surrounding residential area and golf course. To the west again is another small fishing hamlet called Castillo de la Duquesa after the castle still found there. West along the coast there are various housing developments as far as Punta Chullera. The municipality covers an area of 35 square kilometers. There are about 17,000 full time residents and a further 14,000 who reside here on a temporary basis or have holiday homes. The economy of Manilva is based on agriculture and fishing and, more recently, tourism. The area's agriculture mainly consists of crops grown near the river bed and valleys. The river Manilva is the eastern boundary of the municipality. Manilva has a fascinating history which dates back to Roman times and still today there are some remarkably well-preserved Roman Sulphur baths and an Aqueduct. The Moors who favoured this location left and the town gradually faded away. In the 16th century the towns of Malaga, Marbella and Ronda were concerned that the coastline to the south of them was unprotected so they offered free land to poorer peasants in the north of Spain. Manilva is a very interesting and beautiful area, both if you want to live there permanently all year round or just want a vacation home in Manilva.
